Telepsychology: During the COVID-19 Pandemic
During this time, mental health needs can be taken care of through telemental health or telepsychology (videoconferencing technology) or by telephone. Telepsychology has been practiced for more than a decade and research suggests that telepsychology appears to be a viable alternative to face-to-face psychotherapy.

Dr. Syb Pongracic is available to support you if you are experiencing anxieties related to the coronavirus or any pre-existing mental health concerns.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) has been shown to be very effective for treating common emotional problems. CBT is "structured" and brief, which means you learn skills that help you change behaviours and thoughts, which improve your emotions and ability to cope with stressors in your life in several weeks.
For more enduring problems, other psychological treatments may be more appropriate (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance, and Commitment Therapy). The treatments provided will be based on what is deemed to be appropriate given your situation.
Assessments are conducted using questionnaires, measures, and the latest knowledge in psychometric, psychological, and clinical research.
